Drawing on my background in healthcare and social work, I shine a light on the challenges faced by women and the stories of how they navigate change. I do this through my podcast, Pause Beyond the Court – which helps young women get the most out of participating in sport – and by presenting and narrating stories in the media. Everything I create is wrapped in empathy, relatability and my down-to-earth style.
My work also draws on my own personal experiences, as a former teen mum and a woman focused on reinvention, to help people build resilience and self-belief so they can take charge of their lives.
I have a Bachelor of Social Work from Deakin University, a Diploma of Screen and Media from TAFE NSW and have completed TV presenter training at NIDA.
In my past roles as a social worker, I’ve supported and counselled women – particularly young mums – and patients at Peter Mac, Mercy Hospital for Women, The Women’s hospital, Parentline and PANDA (Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia).
There are so many pressures Australians are facing each and every day, especially young women – from expectations of others, to the demands of work or study. Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming, but by sharing stories of hope and transformation I aim to empower people to seek out opportunities to grow, develop and thrive.
